Field Sales Consultant - Computer Products

Business Management Systems, one of the longest established and leading suppliers of computer equipment/systems, wishes to strengthen their sales team with the addition of a Field Sales Consultant to fill the role outlined below.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The position is that of field Sales Consultant - Computer products. It requires a highly pro-active approach in identifying and developing new business opportunities while promoting our market leading range of products and services to our existing customer base. These include Laptop, desktop and server computer products, printers, a wide range of associated peripheral products/accessories plus a range of computer network products/services and accounting solutions. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that agreed sales Targets and margin projections are achieved or surpassed.
  • Ensuring growth of their business area through the management of assigned key accounts
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Preparing tenders.
  • Ensuring satisfactory customer care, resulting in higher levels of customer satisfaction.


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience of selling computer products/systems with proven ability to meet sales targets
  • Understanding of computer equipment and software.
  • High level of competence in computer use.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to negotiate at the highest level
  • Must be reliable, flexible and self motivated
  • Own car with full clean driving licence

Remuneration Package

The position requires:

  • A sound understanding of Computer and peripheral equipment/software.
  • A proven track record in pro-actively identifying business opportunities and converting those contacts in to profitable sales.
  • An interest in dealing with Customers and meeting their requirements both over the telephone or where they visit our premises.
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and an accounting package.
  • A proven ability to meet targets for the sale of computer equipment.
